Seasonal Help-Harvest Help

Position Summary:

This temporary position is located in the Bunge soybean processing plant in Decatur, IN.  The Harvest Help position is responsible for providing temporary assistance to the plant in preparation for and during the fall harvest. 

 

This is a full-time, temporary position with benefits after 90 days. 

Must be willing to work weekends, holiday, and 2nd / 3rd shift. 

Starting pay is $23.33. Effective July 1st, 2024 starting pay will increase to $24.03

Core Functions:

o   Clean silos and bowls in preparation for harvest

o   Provide relief for regular employees

o   Operate bean dump scales

o   Operate conveyors to direct beans to proper silo

o   Process paperwork per department procedures

o   Perform cleaning within the department as directed

o   Responsible to adhere to the Food Safety Culture to provide safe product to consumers

o   Report any concerns with safe food practices

o   Work safely and assist coworkers as needed

o   Perform other duties as assigned

o   Follows all safety policies and procedures

o   Follows Good Manufacturing Practices

 

Skills / Experience Requirements:

o   High School Diploma / GED preferred

o   Ability to work safely and follow policies and procedures

o   Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

o   Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces

o   Good communication skills

o   Ability to work in a team environment

o   Willing to work overtime and flexible hours

o   Must be able to work weekends and holidays

o   Must be able to work 2nd / 3rd shift

o   Good attendance
