Children’s Home Shelter for Family Safety, a program of Children’s Home Society, in Sioux Falls, SD is currently seeking an Shelter for Family Safety & Bright Start Program Director to manage the operation of programs, and clinical functioning programs at the Shelter for Family Safety and Bright Start including the supervision of staff.
What You’ll Do:
- Operation Management: Direct and initiate the development of policies & procedures for the programs. Research, analyze and develop future plans for services. Oversee coordination of revisions and updates to the program manual. Oversee the budgeting process and monitor financial compliance. Assist with grant applications and follow-up reports.
- Team Management: Provide direction, support, and coaching to employees. Oversee the hiring process. Evaluate employee performance and complete employee performance evaluations. Assist in planning and implementing regular staff meetings and training.
- Compliance: Articulate and ensure compliance with Agency policy and all required regulatory standards. Oversee compliance with DOH/DSS/DPS contracts, including annual renewal of grants and contracts.
- Program Management: Monitor performance and effectiveness of program activities. Oversee execution and compliance of the Bright Start program. Ensure fidelity of Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) program.
- Public Relations: Assess effectiveness of services within the community. Develop and maintain community referral sources for the programs.
- Community Outreach: Provide community education in the areas of child abuse/neglect and family violence. Direct and assist with implementation of marketing plans.

Responsibility for highly confidential and sensitive information requires ethics and professionalism beyond reproach.

- Problem-Solving and/or Conflict Resolution – Analyzes and develops timely, conclusive solutions to a variety of more complex issues. Must resolve personnel issues and conflicts that arise, where there is little or no precedent, in such a way that maintains a positive work environment and prevents legal liability.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Compensation: $89,000-$111,500/annually (Depending on Education/Experience)
