The Central Services/Media Prep/Fill Lab Technician is an integral part of our Manufacturing team based out of our US - Omaha, NE - Vaccines site.
Position Details
The Central Service Tech is an integral part of our Production team based out of our Phibro Vaccine Omaha Office in Omaha, NE. The Central Service Tech is responsible for preparation of all glassware (includes washing, wrapping) for sterilizing. Operation of autoclaves which requires lifting up to 50 lbs. Media and supplement preparation. Standing required. Working conditions include heat and high humidity. Will require work some aseptic work in media preparation area. This position may require evening and weekend scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
Manually wash or operate machines to wash and remove impurities from items such as glass products, manufactured articles, and plastics, remove glassware and media from autoclaves, cool and tighten lids. Put away, rotate glassware and lab supplies. Prepare equipment for autoclaving. Record keeping includes clear and precise documentation of processes. Maintain, clean, or sterilize laboratory instruments or equipment, routine cleaning of processing area. Cross-training in multiple functional areas. Requisition of materials for the department as needed.

- Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED equivalency. Prefer some post-secondary education.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to listen and interpret instructions provided in written, oral or schedule form. Ability to define and solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to make decisions on routine matters. Ability to define and solve practical problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Decision Making Responsibilities: Ability to work independently and within a team. Must be able to recognize acceptable practices and make decisions that comply with all written procedures. Must be able to perform basic math calculations and understand metric measurements.
- Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret in the English language.
- Physical Demands: Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Must be able to move from place to place in all areas of production. Must be able to stand and bend during entire shift. Requires good eyesight and hand/eye coordination.
- Work Environment: Includes heat when working around autoclaves and moisture when disinfecting glassware.
