Position Summary
This position provides professional legal support primarily to the Legal Department’s compliance function, encompassing legal corporate compliance, data protection and information technology. Key responsibilities include drafting and editing legal documents, communications and contracts; conducting legal research; managing files, reports and processes related to compliance, data privacy and cybersecurity matters; and preparing legal documents, materials and training documents for legal-compliance attorneys.
*This is a hybrid role with the requirement of working onsite at our Mentor, OH Corporate HQ, 3 days a week. (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).
What You'll do as a Senior Paralegal
- Assist attorneys with complex, confidential, or sensitive legal matters, including preparing significant legal documentation, interfacing with attorneys, outside counsel, and management, and organizing documents and maintaining files.
- Draft, review, and edit legal documents, contracts, and communications to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations, under the direction of legal compliance attorneys.
- Conduct thorough legal research on compliance, data privacy, and cybersecurity matters to support the legal department's initiatives and decision-making processes. Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations, providing updates and recommendations to the legal compliance function.
- Assist in the administration of files, reports, and processes related to corporate compliance, data privacy, and cybersecurity, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accurately maintained.
- Prepare legal briefs, materials, and training documents for legal compliance attorneys, ensuring all materials are well-organized and ready for presentation or review.
- Provide general administrative support to the legal compliance function, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all relevant information is easily accessible and properly documented. Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required:
- Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies required.
- 5+ years experience as a paralegal in a private law firm or corporate legal department required.
- Experience working with compliance matters, technology contracts, data privacy agreements and business associate agreements.
- Broad knowledge of the basic principles of judicial and administrative process; knowledge of legal research procedures.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office 365, Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams) required, with knowledge of general office equipment.
- Ability to develop power point documents required.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting Compliance, data privacy & Information Technology teams is helpful.
- Global experience is helpful.
Skills:
- Superior organizational, analytic, verbal and writing skills necessary.
- Superior interpersonal skills; ability to work with various types of people at all levels of management.
- Good business judgment; ability to complete tasks under pressure and/or strict deadlines; detail oriented.
- Ability to be discreet and maintain confidential nature of sensitive Legal Department projects and information.

Pay range for this opportunity is $85,212.50 - $110,275.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
