Senior Director, Nursing Systems and Operations - Mount Sinai Morningside - Days - Full Time

The key functions of the Sr. Director Nursing Systems and Operations would entail the administrative and operational oversight of the MSW and MSM payroll, staffing divisions as well as the logistics managers. Accountable for the coordination and implementation of the administrative systems, for ensuring appropriate office procedures and resources are utilized as well as provision of staff training.

1.    Responsible for the leadership and efficient operations of nursing staffing and payroll offices
2.    Collaborates with the leadership team to align nursing payroll/timekeep processes.
3.    Monitors and optimizes the efficiency of payroll, staffing, and logistics team members.
4.    Directly supervises the Director of Nursing Systems for support and development.
5.    Ensures proper budgeting and resource allocations, and leads initiatives related to process improvement strategies.
6.    Ensures timely responses and the data gathering for multiple NYSNA RFI requests, including data analysis, redaction of documents, and verification of arbitration and              mediation award estimates.
7.    Oversight of tuition/reimbursement processes.
8.    Collaborates with the Information and Technology Department to facilitate the design and implementation of nursing services systems to support its policies, standards              and objectives.    
9.    Documents nursing competencies and educational levels and ensures consistency of information disseminated to regulatory agencies.    
10.  Collaborates with other departments to ensure the effective and efficient coordination of nursing services systems.    
11.  Provides information system materials as needed for specialty units, research, and/or for reporting patient care and nursing practices.
12.  Conducts in-service educational sessions for nursing and administrative staffs in the appropriate use of new and existing hospital systems. Provides information support          services as needed.      
13.  Assesses the capability of the current system and compares it with outside vendor software to improve current internal systems and procedures      
14.  Assists in the development of the office administrative budget; manages and monitors budget expenditures for office services.

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience; Masters preferred.
• Minimum 10 years? experience in office systems management with 2 years in a supervisory/leadership role
