Within the Bloomberg Broadway Team, the Greyspan Team specializes in delivering Low-Latency Trading Infrastructure to Bloomberg Broadway’s Fixed Income Customers, as well as some FX and other software solutions that require our special mix of Co-location, Low Latency Switching, Venue Connectivity and tuned and configured servers and solutions that host customers trading infrastructure, their peripheral systems requiring a tight integration to the colocation hosted infrastructure and connections to the major cloud providers.

  • Bloomberg Broadway is looking for a motivated Senior Low Latency Network Engineer who has experience designing and maintaining resilient, mission-critical trading network & server infrastructure for global trading organizations. 
  • You'll work in a small, agile team deploying new network solutions and infrastructure solutions to new and existing customers across the globe.


We’ll trust you to:

  • Manage Broadway’s global trading network. Identify and resolve network failures on both switches and servers and network performance within both the trading environment and development networks. 
  • Ensure the security of the trading and development networks. Remain current on information security best practices. Recommend and implement security tools, policies and procedures.
  • Configure multicast networks, including Multicast PIM Sparse/Dense and IGMP.
  • Manage Active Directory in trading environments.
  • Collaborate with customers, venues and partner with internal technical teams to make changes to network connectivity.
  • Create and maintain documentation for network environments and user documentation for utilizing network services.
  • Leverage and expand use of automation across all activities to build operational scale with use of Puppet/Foreman and/or Ansible.
  • Manage short and longer term projects while owning day to day issues to resolution, keeping stakeholders informed of the issue status.
  • iLO/DRAC maintenance, and administration of Dell/HPE servers
  • On-call work and weekend work may be required.


What we are looking for:

  • Strong knowledge of IP routing, VLANs, Access Control Lists, Multicast and Network Address Translation
  • Knowledge on scripting/automation using Python, Bash and Ansible
  • Knowledge on Unix systems and how to utilize Low Latency applications
  • Solid problem-solving skills in networking, as well overall analytical and organization skills 
  • Windows or Linux administration (specifically RedHat and Centos) and troubleshooting skill sets
  • A commitment to quality and exceptional attention to detail
  • Knowledge of, and experience implementing, best practices to enforce network and system security e.g. ISO 27001
  • Demonstrated experience in process and system documentation
  • Collaboration mindset and the ability to support internal and external clients


You’ll need to have:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in telecommunications, computer engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in a senior role, managing switches and other network equipment at L2/L3, connectin
