Praxis Engineering has an immediate need for a Chief Engineer to be part of the Program Management Office and oversee the technical aspects of a large Agile software development contract with multiple Level of Effort (LOE) and Completion Technical Task Orders (TTOs). What you will be doing: 

As the Program Chief Engineer you will help define the technical requirements with the customer and provide technical leadership/oversight to TTO Leads to ensure successful delivery/deployments of software applications. Develop relationships and become the main technical point-of-contact for the customer, ensure TTO technical compliance, and manage requirements. 

What you will need: 

• BS Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical degree. 
• 10+ years of experience leading software development teams
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong desire to interact with customers and build customer relationships
• Experience leading all stages of Agile development efforts, including requirements definition, software development, testing, and production support
• Experience tracking requirements
• Experience in estimating software efforts
• Work with TTO Leads to oversee all technical developments and assist when necessary
• Detail oriented to track requirements and TTO compliance
• Flexible and collaborative team player
• Motivational Leadership skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with an appropriate polygraph is required to be considered for this role

Desired technical skills include experience with: 

• Experience writing Technical Task Orders (especially Completion Technical Task Orders)
• Experience developing software with Agile SCRUM methodologies
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Relational Databases, RESTful web services, JSON, Kibana, Elasticsearch, Docker/Containerization, Tomcat, NiFi, Git/GitLab, Jira, Confluence
• Experience with IC customer/mission
