Position Summary</b></p><p>The Electrical Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Electrical Subject Manager is responsible for providing technical leadership, governance, and delivery assurance for all electrical systems on data center construction projects delivered under a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) model.</p><p>Acting as the client’s technical representative for electrical scopes, the role ensures that electrical design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover activities meet project requirements, industry standards, and mission-critical performance expectations. The position works closely with Project Managers, Project Directors, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure coordinated, compliant, and high-quality delivery across one or multiple data center projects.</p><p><b>2. Key Responsibilities</b></p><p><b>Electrical Scope Leadership</b></p><ul><li>Lead and manage all electrical aspects of data center projects from design development through construction, commissioning, and handover.</li><li>Provide technical governance and assurance across electrical systems to ensure alignment with client standards, operational requirements, and project objectives.</li><li>Act as the primary technical authority for electrical matters within the PMC delivery team.</li></ul><p><b>Design Review &amp; Technical Approvals</b></p><ul><li>Review and provide technical input on electrical designs, specifications, calculations, and single-line diagrams.</li><li>Review and comment on shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and installation proposals.</li><li>Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and data center best practices.</li><li>Support resolution of design-related issues and clarifications during construction.</li></ul><p><b>Contractor &amp; Consultant Coordination</b></p><ul><li>Coordinate closely with electrical contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary consultants.</li><li>Monitor contractor execution to ensure compliance with approved designs, quality standards, and safety requirements.</li><li>Participate in technical workshops, coordination meetings, and site progress reviews.</li><li>Manage interfaces between electrical systems and other disciplines including mechanical, ICT, controls, fire systems, and civil works.</li><li>Support timely resolution of technical and interface issues on site.</li></ul><p><b>Construction Oversight, Testing &amp; Commissioning</b></p><ul><li>Provide on-site technical oversight during installation, testing, and commissioning activities.</li><li>Review and approve inspection and test plans (ITPs), factory acceptance tests (FATs), site acceptance tests (SATs), and commissioning procedures.</li><li>Support integrated systems testing (IST) and end-to-end power system validation.</li><li>Ensure electrical systems are delivered in line with redundancy, resilience, and reliability requirements.</li><li>Support <span>readiness-for-operations</span> and smooth transition to facilities and operations teams.</li></ul><p><b>Risk, Quality &amp; Safety Support</b></p><ul><li>Identify electrical-related risks and support mitigation planning.</li><li>Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes and technical compliance requirements.</li><li>Support safety reviews, audits, and incident investigations related to electrical works.</li><li>Assist in resolving non-conformances, defects, and punch list items prior to handover.</li></ul><p><b>3. Technical Expertise (Data Center Focus)</b></p><ul><li>Data center and mission-critical electrical infrastructure delivery.</li><li>HV and LV power distribution systems.</li><li>UPS systems, generators, switchgear, transformers, PDUs, and RPPs.</li><li>Electrical redundancy architectures (N, N+1, 2N, distributed redundancy).</li><li>Grounding and earthing systems, lightning protection, and power quality.</li><li>Electrical system protection, coordination, and selectivity.</li><li>Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier I–
