Job Purpose

Lead the strategic vision for Louisiana-Pacific Corporation’s (LP) Source-to-Contract (S2C) Center of Excellence by driving standardization of processes, aligning policies, and investigating and selecting both best practices and technologies that will add value to the entire supply chain. Own the operational and tactical needs of the procurement process to enable the strategic functions of the corporation to focus on value-add agenda items. The S2C COE Sr Manager is a key leader in the Procurement organization focused on increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the transactional purchasing of materials, supplies, services, and equipment. They are responsible for ensuring that all purchasing activity is conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner in accordance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures.  They are also responsible for owning and driving LP to adopt world-class supply chain technology, including optimal utilization of SAP Ariba, SAP MRP, and other value accelerating tools.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of standard enterprise processes across LP locations.
  • Manage the operational effectiveness of the Procurement function to ensure on time payment and expedited tactical buying of business needs.
  • Provide stewardship, in collaboration with other key stakeholders, to assure that operating, financial, and customer satisfaction objectives are achieved.
  • Manage day-to-day activity of buyers and system administrators to ensure smooth acquisition of goods and services on behalf of LP business functions
  • Oversee enterprise project resources during the design and implementation phase of S2C initiatives.
  • Liaise with other key stakeholders as to the performance of the S2C service delivery network.
  • Collaborate with other process owners and key stakeholders to identify current and future service delivery opportunities, evaluate design modifications, identify/communicate legitimate policy exceptions, and consider enabling technology
  • Develop strategy and establishes global policy for the S2C processes, identifying and documenting regulatory exceptions and other genuine exceptions.
  • Develop and propose strategic (3-5-year) plans with underlying assumptions pertaining to sourcing, process, technology, and workforce development.
  • Accountable for coordinating with the transition team to assure successful migration of all in scope activities to the consolidated locations, either captive or outsourced.
  • Accountable for assuring successful implementation of standard global processes and enabling technology, evaluating end-to-end process performance, and affecting necessary design or execution adjustments. Assures that both the internal organization and the Process Development provider adopt and implement these processes and policies.
  • Mentor and coach global project team members

 

What do I need to be successful?

  • 10+ years’ experience in business, Procurement, Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance or transaction processing.
  • 5+ years’ experience in management of a team in a financial or procurement processing organization, a captive or outsourced shared services environment, or a large-scale technology implementation project.
  • 4+ years' experience in ERP systems implementation (SAP and/or SAP Ariba)
  • 3+ years in direct management of employees
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
  • Ability to be a self-starter and a change agent
  • Ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Strong team and talent management skills
  • Knowledge of current supervisory and management methods and techniques
  • Strong organizational and mathematical skills
  • Desire to push boundaries and be on the leading edge of technology adoptio
