Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for an Electrical Engineer or Principal Electrical Engineer to support the Circuit Design organization in Rancho Bernardo, San Diego, CA.
As a member of the circuit design team, you will have ownership over the full product lifecycle for circuits development for the program enterprise. You will have the opportunity to perform detailed electrical circuit design, circuit level analysis, schematic capture, build component libraries, layout PCBs, built and test prototype hardware, design automated test equipment, design automated test scripts, support qualification, prepare documentation for your design and support hardware production manufacturing.
Note: This position can be filled at the Electrical Engineer or Principal Electrical Engineer level.
Basic Qualifications:
Basic qualifications for an Electrical Engineer - Bachelors in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 2 years engineering related experience, OR Master’s in STEM with 0 years of experience
Basic qualifications for a Principal Electrical Engineer - Bachelors in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 5 years engineering related experience, OR Master’s in STEM with 3 years of experience, OR a PhD in STEM and 1 year of experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing LabVIEW and TestStand software applications for custom test stations to meet customer requirements
2+ years LabVIEW and TestStand work preferably on production test applications
Experience developing software programs in C++ and LabVIEW to collect test data
Experience with development and design of automated test equipment
Experience in design and simulation of analog and digital circuits
Experience with IPC and Military standards for electronics design
Experience bringing up hardware from prototype design into production
Experience with schematic capture and board layout using Altium Designer or Mentor Graphics
Experience with FPGA, CPLD and micro-controllers
