Position Summary:

FL85 is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lipid Nanoparticle (Targeted Therapeutics) Senior Research Associate to join our dynamic team. This vital role focuses on developing and refining bioconjugate formulations, playing a crucial role in advancing the FL85 platform. Key responsibilities include independent work and collaboration within a team environment, contributing significantly to the development and optimization of bioconjugation processes. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong expertise in bioconjugation science and drug delivery, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, optimize, and execute scale-up processes to enable targeted lipid nanoparticle development using click chemistry tools.
• Support LNP production for preclinical studies, including characterization using dynamic light scattering, zeta potential, nucleic acid encapsulation, etc.
• Perform preparative purification of bioconjugates using AKTA-FPLC systems.
• Develop analytical and characterization methods for bioconjugates and decorated LNPs.
• Manage collaborations with internal and external partners to align with stakeholder goals and meet tight timelines.
• Analyzing and accurately documenting assay results in an electronic lab notebook or other technical reporting format
• Additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Biochemistry, or a related field. (Minimum 2 years of academic or industry experience in relevant fields)
• Experience with click chemistry tools as it pertains to nanoparticle formulation is a bonus.
• Experience with plate-based fluorescence assays, such as Ribogreen or TNS, for determining LNP properties.
• Experience with AKTA-purification methods.
• Proficiency in Benchling and GraphPad Prism is beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong record-keeping and data management abilities.
• Comfortable delivering against challenging commitments.
