5G/6G Senior Researcher (HWIL)

<p dir="ltr"><strong>Role Mission</strong></p><p dir="ltr">To lead pioneering research in wireless resource management (RRM) for 5G/6G systems, leveraging hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulations and advanced data processing units to design and validate next-generation network algorithms.</p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br/></p><ul> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Lead and actively contribute to cutting-edge 6G research projects.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Design, develop, and validate advanced algorithms and mechanisms for 5G/6G (e.g. L2/L3, security) .</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Integrate and utilize Data Processing Units (DPUs) and/or hardware accelerators (e.g., NVIDIA A100) for real-time wireless protocol processing.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Develop and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation environments to test and verify algorithm performance.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Contribute to the architecture and development of a comprehensive 5G/6G network digital twin platform.</p></li> </ul><p><br/></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Requirements</strong><br/></p><ul> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">PhD in Wireless Telecommunication or Computer Science.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Proven experience in designing (or validating) Radio Resource Management (RRM) algorithms/mechanisms (L2, L3) with the use of HW</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Strong competence in using DPUs (Data Processing Units) and hardware accelerators (e.g., A100) in the context of wireless protocols.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Good knowledge of 5G/6G system architecture and emerging trends.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Deep understanding of architectures for high-performance data processing and acceleration.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Good command of English.</p></li> </ul><p><br/></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Nice-to-Have</strong><br/></p><ul> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Good command of Python.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Knowledge of C/C++.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Experience with network simulation tools.</p></li> <li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Familiarity with 3GPP/O-RAN standards.</p></li> </ul>
