Job Description
You will join a team of experts to conduct and extend our research about 5G and 6G networks and related applications. Our objective is to pave the way for the successful adoption of 5G/6G at Bosch together with leading academic institutions and other industrial partners in the publicly funded project CampusOS.
- You derive requirements for different use cases, analyze operation models and drive the development of an appropriate system architecture.
- Main focus of your work is research and development on key technical building blocks as e.g. xApps in OpenRAN.
- Furthermore, you implement your research results on prototypes and verify them in our private mobile radio network.
- You support the implementation and evaluation of challenging use cases in the field of Connected Mobility and robotics as tele-operated driving.
- Beyond that you contribute with your expertise to national and European research projects, industry associations and build the bridge to standardization activities.
- In addition, you follow the current state of research, observe technological developments on the market and derive valuable ideas for Bosch.
Qualifications
- Education: Successfully completed University degree in the field of electrical engineering, computer science or or a comparable subject, preferably with a relevant PhD
- Qualification: Very good knowledge in the area of 5G communication and system architecture as well as WiFi and ideally also with OpenRAN, edge computing and functional safety
- Experience and Knowledge: Experience in prototype implementation and system evaluation
- Languages: very good communication skills in written and spoken English and German
