Senior Director, Card Finance: CFO of Business Cards and Payments

We are looking for a dynamic leader and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of our Business Cards and Payments (BCP) business. This individual will lead a team of 10 financial analysts, ranging in level from junior analyst through Director. The BCP CFO will be a member of both the BCP Leadership Team and the Card Finance Leadership team and will partner with key senior leaders across Finance disciplines including Corporate Planning, Accounting, Credit Risk Management, Balance Sheet & Capital Planning and Corporate Development.
In 2022, the Small Business Card and Commercial Card teams merged to become the Business Cards and Payments team. We are here to pave the path for businesses to do more business by becoming the leading business card program and going beyond the card. We are now a top 3 issuer of Small Business credit cards in the US. We have a national field team of relationship managers who create brand advocates of our customers, as seen in our TV ads. In 2021 we launched Spark Cash Plus, Capital One’s first NPSL (no preset spending limit) charge card. In 2023 we launched our newest product, Venture X Business. This leader will play a pivotal role in helping to shape the future direction of this growing business.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 12 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
At least 6 years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
At least 5 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's Degree in Finance
Experience working in or partnering with the Card business
14+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
10+ years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
10+ years of people management experience including both direct & indirect reports
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
