Director of Strategic Insights

We are seeking a Director of Strategic Insights to lead the identification, framing, and prioritization of critical business opportunities, design transformative analytics initiatives, and deliver strategic insights directly to Chime’s executive team. This is a business-facing leadership role focused on connecting data to action — not on technical execution. You will collaborate directly with leaders across Analytics, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Executive teams to help drive growth and  inform company strategy through insights.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $198,990.00 and up to $281,900.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to

• Identify, frame, and prioritize high-impact strategic business questions that can be answered with data to guide executive decision-making.
• Define the scope of major strategic analytics initiatives — clearly outlining the objectives, data requirements, methodologies, and expected business outcomes.
• Proactively identify significant internal and market trends and opportunities for Chime based on internal and external data.
• Collaborate effectively with technical analytics teams, ensuring alignment on analysis and delivering impactful insights.
• Develop and deliver compelling, executive-level narratives and presentations that clearly communicate strategic insights and recommended actions.
• Act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior business, product, and technical leaders, converting analytical insights into actionable strategies.
• Influence cross-functional strategic planning by providing data-driven perspectives on opportunities, risks and trade-offs.
• Enhance the story telling muscle within the Analytics team through your mentoring and coaching. 

To thrive in this role, you have

• 8+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, analytics, or business insights roles.
• Experience at top-tier management consulting firms (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) strongly preferred.
• Exceptional structured thinking, problem framing, and executive communication capabilities.
• Deep experience partnering with analytics, data science, or business intelligence teams — even if not a hands-on analyst.
• Comfort and agility in navigating a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to translate data-driven insights into strategic recommendations and measurable business impact.
• Passion for helping people achieve financial health and progress.
• Familiarity with financial services, fintech, or consumer product environments.
• Experience using basic analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Looker, Tableau) to inform framing (not required for technical execution).
