Accountant (Military Program, SkillBridge, Military Spouse Fellowship, Hybrid)

This is not the official application, you must first speak with a representative from Equinix Pathways Military Program. Please note that this program is exclusively for active-duty US military personnel and military spouse programs.

The Accountant uses professional expertise while resolving a variety of accounting matters within a moderate scope. Performs monthly accounting close activities focused on less risky and moderately complicated countries.

Responsibilities

Month End Close

As a member of the general ledger reporting team assisting with the preparation of financial statements and preparing monthly journal entries including complex accruals, benefit adjustments and treasury related entries.

· Completed flux analysis in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements of P/L & B/S trend variation.

· Prepares and post journal entries within a moderate scope

· Prepares reconciliations

· Executes SOX controls

· Prepares PBC (Provided/prepared by Client)

Disclosures and External Reporting

· Responsible for preparing any additional regional disclosures needed for Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting

Management Reporting

· Prepares month end management reporting

Business Partnering

· Supports the partnership with upstream data owners, internal and external auditors, and Global Process Manager to solve a variety of accounting matters

Process Improvement

· As needed, may participate in moderate project work

Technical Accounting

· Has a developed understanding and applies general accounting principals when accounting for transactions

·Must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in DOD Instruction 1322.29

·Must have a minimum of 4 months of eligible and approved SkillBridge or Military Spouse Fellowship

·Official TAD/ TDY Orders to Equinix for the period of the Fellowship Required

·Minimum of two years’ formal training or four years of progressive responsibility and experience in a specific discipline transferring experience from

·Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

·Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

·1+ years experience preferred
