Lead, Maintenance Mechanic
SHIFT: (3rd Shift) Friday – Sunday 7am – 7:30pm
How You Will Make a Difference
What you will do:
This role serves as technical "go to" point of contact for maintenance management to keep facility running at peak efficiency. Contributes to continuous improvement of maintenance methods and processes, working with other functions (e.g., maintenance/ engineers). This role acts as a liaison in maintenance to help support internal/ VF safety regulations, conformance of company policies, multi-agency compliance, and maintenance recordkeeping as well as point of contact for parts, requests, and work in progress.
How you will do it:
By effectively maintaining a work assignments, work schedules related to compliance records, projects work orders, and maintenance programs using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). By leveraging the CMMS program, one will be expected to manage all work orders, analyst and produce progress reports or ad hoc daily status reports. Also, this person will maintain inventory accuracy to department’s high standard levels and will provide routine administrative support for maintenance procurement of supplies.
What success looks like:
Success will be measured by ensuring compliance of entire facility utilizing established internal control procedures. In addition, continuous development and stimulating process improvement and techniques for equipment and facility. Success is predicated on ability to coordinate and communicate with site personnel inside and outside the department to track, execute, and report on all ongoing projects.

Skills for Success
- Must be able to follow guidelines, Project Management process, and CMMS
- They must maintain knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety policies, maintenance process, standard operating procedures (SOP’s), sanitation rules, regulations, and company policies
- Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Computer literacy and MS Office experience (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and vendors
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Educational Position Requirements: A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
