Job Summary
This is a leadership role and will involve personnel accountability, timekeeping, drafting and submitting reports, creating a safety culture, and enforcing company/contract requirements and standards. The Production Control Clerk is responsible for all production control functions under this effort.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.
- Compiles and records production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques.
- Calculates such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets.
- Writes production reports based on data compiled, tabulated, and computed, following prescribed formats, maintaining files of documents used and prepared, compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
- Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities, compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies charts production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.
- Sorts and distributes work tickets or material and may compute wages from employee timecards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll.
- Working environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder who has lived within the United States for at least the last 3 years.
- Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI.
- Must be able to obtain a CAC.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 7 years of related experience and 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Must have experience with GCSS-A.
- Requires intermediate to advanced skills with the MS Office Suite.
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions in the applicable supply & maintenance management.
- Requires a comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and maintenance management processes, related regulations and is required to ensure effective execution of the function.
- Must possess operational skill and knowledge of the automated supply systems utilized.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Must have the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.
- Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- GCSS-A Certification.
- Production Control Experience, ideally at least 3 years.
- Army MOS: 92 series or civilian equivalent.
