Accountant

Overview

Our Finance team is looking for someone to perform accounts receivable and general ledger functions.  We're looking for a highly motivated teammate who will positively contribute to our team.

 

This position is located in Fredericksburg, VA and requires on-site presence. Candidates must be local or relocating in the immediate future. 

Travel

A minimal amount of travel to SimV facilities and training

Requirements

• 3-5 years of  accounting experience
• Attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft office products, especially Excel

Responsibilities

• Review ERP Project setup for accurate revenue and billing processing
• Generate CPFF,FP and T&M contract invoices and associated detail reports for bi-weekly and monthly periods. Submit to customers through various systems including WAWF.
• Reconcile billing, revenue, and unbilled amounts for different types of contracts.
• Process contract closeout transactions to include evaluation of contract funding for deobligations.
• Communicate with customer to follow up on invoice payments when required.

• Process contract closeout transactions to include evaluation of contract funding for de-obligations
• Communicate with customer to follow up on invoice payments when required
• Perform monthly financial reconciliations/entries for:
  • Prepaid expenses
  • Credit cards
  • Asset management and depreciation/amortization
  • Expense accrual entries
  • Other GL-related functions
• Assist with preparation and coordination for multiple audits
• Cross-train/support other areas within Finance for more dynamic company support (may include accounts payable & payroll)
• Special projects as assigned

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Unanet GovCon software experience
• Knowledge of the JTR, FAR, GAAP, DCAA billing requirements, government contracting

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance is required for this position

Compensation

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

 

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
