About the role:

The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor supports over $30 million in medical device manufacturing production and oversees a dynamic team of technicians and engineers operating across multiple technologies and value streams. The position is responsible for both daily tactical execution and long-term strategic planning within assigned value streams. You’ll work in close partnership with engineering leadership to drive high-priority initiatives across the business unit. This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth, including involvement in strategic planning, new product development, and site-level initiatives.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage team of 10 individual contributors (technicians and engineers) at various levels to support value stream daily priorities in 24/7 environment.
• Improve equipment performance through downtime tracking, inventory management and planning.
• Represent business unit on environmental, health and safety initiatives that impact the engineering function.
• Develop and manage variable expense budget to ensure we have what is needed to meet demand and improve utilization over time.
• Full value stream ownership including staffing, project prioritization, strategy deployment, budgeting and technology development.

 

Required qualifications: 

• Bachelors degree in Engineering field
• 6+ years experience in manufacturing environment
• 2+ years experience in people leadership

 

Preferred qualifications: 

• Integrated Circuit Test Equipment and Process familiarity including an understanding of equipment maintenance best practices
• Demonstrated project and people management capability
• Familiarity with problem solving, process improvement methodologies and familiarity with financial planning.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
