About the team and position

Join Carvana’s Regulatory Operations Support team in the role of Analyst, Dealer Compliance Team. As a Dealer Compliance Team Analyst within Carvana’s Regulatory Operation Support team, you’ll assist in the development and implementation of our internal audit programs as it relates to Dealer License regulatory requirements throughout the country, and provide process improvement opportunities. This is a hands-on position that will work closely in partnership with Carvana leadership to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on Carvana Dealer Licenses and other necessary market specific licenses with a focus on inventory.  This includes but not limited to license plates, stickers, forms, temporary operating plates etc.   Present findings in a clear and concise manner to the Compliance Team and relevant stakeholders. 
  • Support all aspects for the execution of monthly inventory audits and quarterly self-assessments for Carvana markets to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Develop detailed reports for the market leaders and stakeholders, providing action plans to ensure adherence to internal and regulatory standards.
  • Design, maintain and oversee dashboard reporting for market leaders and other business partners.
  • Stay informed and up-to-date on industry compliance policies and standards through proactive monitoring and continuous learning.
  • Track and analyze regulatory trends across different markets and teams to identify common patterns and insights.    
  • Cultivate a culture of compliance awareness at Carvana, emphasizing its importance to all stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of Dealer Market compliance training programs.
  • Draft a wide range of written correspondence and documents with precision and clarity.
  • Operate consistently with a focus on minimizing legal risk while enhancing Carvana’s reputation.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.



What you should know

  • Over two years of experience in research, regulatory, or compliance operations. 
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education required.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure all departmental aspects comply with legal standards.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across various teams and stakeholders.
  • Skilled in prioritizing and managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, even on short notice.
  • Eagerness and vitality to excel in a rapidly growing startup environment where roles continually evolve with the company.
  • Proactive approach to researching emerging issues affecting the company.
  • Extensive experience in problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Preferred knowledge and application of government regulations, standards, principles and practices.
  • Passionate about dashboards, data and metrics, with a proficiency in using Google Suite.
