IT Intern

Overview

Chiron Technology Services, Inc. currently has a Part-time IT Intern opportunity in the Columbia, MD area to support our IT department. United States Citizenship is required for this position.

 

Job Description:

The Part-time IT Intern will work on various tasks related to an IT support environment including working on documentation, physical asset tracking, cabling, and testing.  This position may also assist the Training department with quality assurance tasks.  This internship will provide valuable, hands-on information security experience in a professional environment. Opportunities and duties within this position include but are not limited to:

• Ability to work independently on tasks and projects assigned from the IT staff.
• Exposure to professional documentation/design, quality assurance (QA), and development processes
• Perform research on new technologies.
• Exposure to information security processes and tools.

 

Requirements:

• High school degree or equivalent
• Pursuing a career or further education in cybersecurity or information technology
• Ability to perform troubleshooting and solve problems independently
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Ability to program in multiple languages, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML and C
• Ability to secure US government security clearance if needed

Compensation 

• $15/hour

This part-time internship is Monday through Friday with flexible start and end times. Start dates and end dates are determined by both Chiron and the intern's availability.
