Highspring operates from more than 50 offices across the United States and continues to expand its global delivery capabilities through onshore, nearshore, and offshore models.</p> <p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p> <p>The Director, Technical Accounting will serve as a key financial leader responsible for overseeing the organization’s technical accounting function, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and internal policies. This role provides authoritative guidance on complex accounting issues, leads the preparation of technical accounting memos, and supports financial reporting, audit readiness, and policy development. This role requires a hands-on leader with experience in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment, preferably within consulting, professional services, or staffing.</p> <p>The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to build scalable processes, lead high-performing global teams, and partner cross-functionally to support growth.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Financial Reporting & Compliance</strong></p> <ul> <li>Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS which would include preparation of Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Statement of Cash Flows and Stockholders Equity</li> <li>Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting monthly across multiple global entities</li> <li>Ensure timely and accurate quarterly bank compliance reporting</li> <li>Manage audits and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions</li> <li>Maintain and enforce internal controls and accounting policies</li> <li>Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures aligned with evolving standards and business needs</li> </ul> <p><strong>Global Accounting Operations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead day-to-day accounting functions including revenue recognition, lease accounting and fixed asset accounting</li> <li>Oversee consolidation of international subsidiaries, including foreign currency considerations</li> <li>Ensure proper accounting for complex staffing revenue streams (e.g., time & materials, fixed price, direct hire) and intercompany transactions both across geographies and revenue streams</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Tax, FP&A) to assess accounting impli
