With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The Shoulder Arthroplasty team in Naples, FL is key player in the development of new, innovative shoulder arthroplasty products. We are searching for an intern to support and drive the ongoing innovation on the Shoulder Arthroplasty team. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, personable, and passionate about delivering the best products to our primary customer, the orthopedic surgeon. The Product Management Intern will be responsible for a variety of projects, including, but not limited to, defining product roadmaps, conducting and presenting market research, interacting with surgeons to define user needs, facilitating design validations, and communicating with the salesforce.

 

This internship will run from May 2025 – August 2025. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.

 

Main Objective:

To serve as an introduction to product management at a global medical device company. The product management intern will be responsible for a variety of projects, including, but not limited to, defining product roadmaps, conducting and presenting market research, interacting with surgeons to define user needs, facilitating design validations, and communicating with the salesforce.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Integrate new products and design features into product roadmap for strategic product and feature launches
  • Lead market research efforts to become an internal subject matter expert on topics that pertain to future product development efforts.
  • Meet with surgeons to distill user needs for new products. Facilitate design validations in a cadaver lab setting, ensuring that the proposed design meets the user needs.
  • Create marketing collateral and strategy to communicate product details and selling strategy to sales team.

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Progress towards a college degree in a related field required, preferably in Business, Engineering or Health Sciences. A college junior or senior preferred. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.) 
  • Ability to work with cadaveric specimens is highly advantageous.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: 

Intermediate to Expert computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: 

PC; High proficiency with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
