Position Summary
The Senior Analyst Tech Standards will be responsible for facilitating strategic initiatives, programs, and policies across the fleets. The Senior Analyst ensures standardization, consistency of procedures and process to enhance safety, efficiency and quality. This position will be resolute and devoted to quality assurance across Tech Ops. The Senior Analyst is quick thinking and has an in-depth knowledge of company and Tech Ops policy, process, and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities
- Continuously analyze data pertaining to Technical Operations manuals revisions and process requests
- Analyze current processes in Technical Operations for inefficiencies and assist in the development of improvements
- Manage the daily standards development and implementation tasks while providing the highest degree of safety and efficiency
- Oversee, for quality and congruence, all Tech Ops manuals to ensure regulatory compliance
- Partner with JetBlue University (JBU) to ensure training procedures are standardized and aligned, such that crewmembers are trained according to standards
- Partner with key stakeholders to execute and align Tech Ops and other department’s policies, programs and initiatives
- Ensure Technical Operations are conducted in accordance with conditions and restrictions of the Air Operator Certificate (AOC), and in compliance with applicable regulations and standards
- Knowledge of JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS), Safety Policy, Security Policy and behavioral standards
- Take a significant role in the development of the work group’s standard practices
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Three (3) years of Technical Operations experience
- Experience in computer software and Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work flexible hours
- Comfortable with changing priorities with short notice
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
- Available occasional overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Working knowledge of all areas within Technical Operations
- Working knowledge of Part 121 Federal Aviation Regulations
- Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
- Experience conducting analysis and building and presenting a business case for a problem/initiative
- Knowledge of external agencies and their function as it related to Tech Ops (i.e. FAA, Department of Transportation (DOT))
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, JetBlue procedures, standard operating procedures and Federal Aviation Regulation adherence

- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
