What the HR Manager does:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, performance management, and workplace investigations
- Coach and support managers with a people-first, legally informed approach to policy, performance, and feedback
- Help shape and deliver training, engagement, and retention initiatives that connect with our school-based staff
- Be a visible and present HR leader across all campuses — building trust and rapport onsite while supporting cross-campus consistency
- Provide oversight (not day-to-day execution) of recruitment, onboarding, and payroll — handled by external partners
- Help ensure our HR practices are compliant, consistent, and aligned with PHILLIPS’ mission and values
What the HR Manager brings to the team:
- 5+ years of HR experience, ideally with a focus in employee relations, investigations, and coaching
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- A warm, approachable presence with the confidence to lead conversations and set boundaries
- An ability to build trust and rapport across all levels of staff — especially teachers, clinicians, and support professionals
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) strongly preferred
- Experience in education, nonprofit, or human services environments a plus
