Job Description
The D&G IT Portfolio Delivery Lead will provide strategic leadership and expertise in the design, development, and delivery of technology solutions to support the Diagnostics & Genomics (D&G) business. This role will involve direct management of delivery projects, oversight of project managers, and close collaboration with group Enterprise IT teams and third-party providers. The D&G IT Portfolio Delivery Lead will ensure that all solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives, while also overseeing effective change management and operational support for ongoing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Demand Teams and functional collaborators to assess, recommend, and deliver technology solutions that align with D&G business strategies.
- Lead the planning and execution of initiatives using formal methodologies, including Project Management, Product Management, SDLC, and Agile.
- Leverage enterprise platforms and services to enhance business capabilities, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Contribute to financial planning, managing portfolio spending, and ensuring alignment with budgetary targets.
- Oversee relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring effective service provision, maintenance, and support across D&G IT solutions.
- Manage the lifecycle of D&G digital platforms, including acquisition, retirement, and reconfiguration of supporting infrastructure.
Organizational Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing D&G IT Portfolio Delivery Team, ensuring they deliver value-aligned digital technologies.
- Foster skills development within the team, with a focus on formal delivery methodologies (Project Management, SDLC, Agile).
- Improve collaboration between teams to identify alignments, standardize processes, and improve enterprise capabilities.
- Manage collaborator communications, facilitate project prioritization, and drive value realization.
- Identify risks and opportunities proactively, bringing to bear them to improve efficiency and competitive advantage.
- Establish efficient ways of working to ensure seamless collaboration and consistent delivery.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Experience and Technical Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Business, or a related field is required. Master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of professional experience with proven expertise in delivering complex, enterprise-level IT projects/programs.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience in collaborating with executives, including engagement at the executive level.
- Technical Skills: Strong foundation in Project Management methodologies, including Agile and SDLC.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience within the Life Sciences industry is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams.
