Job Description
This is a hybrid role, 1 day a week in the office on average.
This position is accountable for the procurement of Direct Materials (raw materials & cullet) for the US & Canada. The position will ensure compliance with OI Global Procurement policies and utilize procurement processes that follow best practices to achieve best total cost of ownership and best value for OI.
This position will manage the procurement of high complexity and risk materials and/or services that total an estimated $400 million + in annual spend for the assigned commodity. Regional scope may include the US, Canada and additional countries in the Americas as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Development and execution of commodity strategy
- Supervise procurement activities of Procurement Managers and/or Specialists
- Assists Director and cross functional teams with supplier assessments & supplier selection
- Leverage Global Sourcing Team to drive additional value within assigned region/countries, collaborate with Global Sourcing and Sustainability team.
- Collaborate with internal customers to ensure timely receipt of required materials
- Conduct required supply market research and develop cost models to support sourcing projects
- Ensure implementation and management of cost advantaged contracts and price agreements
- Develop and issue RFI / RFP / RFQ activities for new and existing requirements leveraging the Strategic Sourcing Process
- Issues quote requests to suppliers and negotiates pricing to meet business requirements
- Manage supplier performance in order to meet all quality, delivery, and service requirements
- Develop and track KPI’s / metrics including cost savings, working capital improvements and others as required.
- Proactively resolve quality and commercial issues with vendors and internal customers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related-area. (Procurement/Supply Chain preferred)
- Minimum 10+ years procurement or relevant experience
- Strong leadership & communication skills
- Previous strategic sourcing experience with raw material categories preferred
- Proficiency in negotiations, contract preparation and management, strategic sourcing
- Proficiency in analytics and computer skills including Microsoft Office, SAP, JDE
- Multi-site, global and manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.

Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $120,700 - $150,900 (mid-point) with a 20% STI. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
