You excel in automation, have a deep understanding of the network stack, and are proficient in Rust, Python, and Golang. You're not only adept at guiding and mentoring junior engineers but also possess excellent communication skills.</p> <h2>What you’ll do</h2> <ul> <li>Analyze and troubleshoot complex operational problems related to VPN and other services.</li> <li>Provide engineering support to operational teams, offering advice, technical reviews, and architecture analysis.</li> <li>Lead or join project teams for specific operational changes or deployments.</li> <li>Specialize in core services provided by Kape Technologies, providing in-depth analysis and insights into service operations.</li> <li>Act as a conduit for operational tooling requirements, translating them into technical specifications for development teams.</li> <li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative work environment.</li> <li>Build and maintain scalable monitoring capabilities for operational metrics and alerting.</li> <li>Possess an in-depth understanding of operational technologies and metrics to measure quality, speed, and user experience.</li> <li>Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated solutions to streamline operations at scale.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and enhance system performance and scalability.</li> <li>Utilize strong software engineering skills to develop robust and scalable tools and scripts for operational needs.</li> <li>Conduct regular assessments of existing infrastructure, proposing enhancements for improved performance, security, and scalability.</li> </ul> <h2>What you’ll bring</h2> <ul> <li>Familiarity with Dev(Sec)Ops practices, including CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and monitoring systems.</li> <li>Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).</li> <li>Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in working with Linux distributions. Hands-on experience with at least 3 different distributions is needed. (foundation)</li> <li>Strong understanding and demonstrated experience of automation concepts and deployment at scale.</li> <li>Solid knowledge of the full network stack. (foundation)</li> <li>Strong proficiency in software development, with a focus on Rust, Python, and Golang.
