What you'll do:
- The Manager for Cloud Platform Engineering is responsible for a team of Cloud Platform Engineers.
- The Cloud Platform Manager is responsible for coordinating and curating product roadmaps from the Cloud Platform Engineers,
- Socializing this roadmap withing the larger organization
- Managing commitments and delivery from a team of engineers.
What you'll bring:
- 7+ years of experience designing and managing AWS cloud infrastructure, with a focus on compute, storage, and AI/ML services.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services: EKS, EC2, ECS, ECR, Fargate, Lamda, and Image Builder, CloudFormation/Terraform.
- Proficient in container technologies (Docker) and orchestration via Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).
- Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty).
- Experience with MLOps tools such as SageMaker Pipelines, MLflow, or Argo Workflows.
- Management experience with a small to medium sized team.
- AWS Proficiency: Strong knowledge of at the AWS cloud platform and its associated services.
- Compute Services: Kubernetes, EKS, EC2, ECS, ECR, Fargate, Lamda, and Image Builder
- AI and ML Services: SageMaker, BedRock, Kendra, Lex, Textract, and other related AI and ML services
- Cloud Architecture and Design: Understanding of cloud architecture principles, including infrastructure as code, microservices, and serverless computing.
- IaC and Automation: Proficiency with Terraform, Lambda, and other languages like Python, Golang for automating tasks, managing infrastructure, and creating deployment pipelines.
- Networking and Security: Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and how they apply to cloud environments.
- Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuous Learning: A commitment to staying current with the rapidly evolving cloud landscape and learning new technologies.
- Team and Project Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, DevOps engineers, and platform developers across networking, compute, and automation domains.
