We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This is a direct hire opportunity for a dynamic individual who is passionate about driving engineering excellence and innovation.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for managing and leading projects from inception to successful completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires outstanding organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
You will lead key initiatives such as new product implementation, development of new assembly lines, automation projects, and integration of new equipment. Additional responsibilities include process design, workflow optimization, time standards analysis, and cost justification. You will also contribute to strategic process research and play a critical role in evaluating and recommending future investments.

Job Responsibilities
- Manages and leads projects and initiatives
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction and motivation.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Conduct regular team meetings to track progress and address any issues.
- Communicate project progress, issues, and successes to stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their needs are met throughout the project life cycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

- Helps develop plans for new processes, equipment, and technology acquisition and implementation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Helps in the development and guides the manufacturing engineers
- Prepares process cost estimates for fabrication and assembly of parts and complete assemblies.
- Oversees Manufacturing, Assembly, and Post-Assembly Process selection and implementation.
- Counsels on machine tool selection and specification, including full management of investments from concept to ROI to approval to launch.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S, Kanban, Kaizen, Problem Solving, and TPM.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Technology: Required
- Minimum of 5 years of proven project management experience in a related industry: Required
- Experience in assembly and process engineering design and implementation: Required
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing methodology: Required
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills: Required
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities: Preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills: Preferred
- CAD proficiency: Preferred
- Experience with Siemens NX, SAP/ERP systems, industrial robotics, and control systems (I/O, PLCs): Preferred
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and methodologies: Preferred
