About the role

 

The Team:

Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team at Mistral Place, delivering high quality services; and accordance with the Statewide Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies, the Ward Aide provides support to nursing and allied health professional staff in the delivery of care to consumers.

All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role:

  • Assist nursing and allied health professional staff in general daily care of consumers including bathing, dressing, feeding and personal care.
  • Participate in and assists with the supervision of consumer activities as requested by nursing staff and allied health staff.
  • Participate in and assists consumers with their rehabilitation and recovery programs including shopping, meal preparation, serving meals and community access, as requested by nursing staff or allied health staff.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, shift worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.  

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $62,486 - $65,119 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Certificate III or IV in Health Care or equivalent, or Health Professional Undergraduate qualification
  • Current Driver’s Licence
