The Director, Partner Programs and Software Business Development is responsible for leading channel growth and partnership strategy. You will manage key alliances across our software portfolio, building and scaling alliance ecosystems to promote Ryan’s technology products in the partner marketplace. This role involves driving co-selling motions with key technology, implementation and distribution partners, shaping joint value propositions, and playing a critical role in shaping our GTM strategy and market expansion at tax.com.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results

People:

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team experience.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal to operationalize alliances.
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing to influence roadmap using partner and market feedback.
  • Develop pipeline generation strategies through ecosystem influence and co-marketing.
  • Ensure proper partner training, certification, and support frameworks are in place.

Client and Alliance Partners:

  • Articulate and promote the value of Ryan’s platform offerings.
  • Identify, evaluate, and activate strategic partnerships (ISVs, resellers, SIs, referral partners) aligned with revenue goals.
  • Own the end-to-end partner lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, enablement, GTM planning, and performance management.
  • Negotiate and structure alliance agreements, including revenue share models, joint ventures, and OEM deals.
  • Drive the creation and implementation of Platform Alliance programs and trainings

Value:

  • Build deep knowledge of Ryan products, services and competitive landscape.
  • Provide input to marketing efforts and materials.
  • Represent the company at promotional events and conferences.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in SaaS partner/channel management and strategic alliance roles.
  • Proven ability to drive partner revenue and open new markets
  • Strong commercial acumen—experience structuring and negotiating complex partnership deals.
  • Ability to lead through influence across matrixed teams and navigate ambiguity with confidence.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence; comfortable interfacing with C-level stakeholders.
  • Experience selling financial and/or tax related tools preferred

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7-10 years of professional experience

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic skills in Microsoft® Excel, intermediate skills in Microsoft® Outlook, and advanced skills in Microsoft® Word, CRM, and Internet navigation and research.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment

  • Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm and interface with external clients, vendors, and candidates at all levels.
