Training and Organizational Development Specialist-HR Talent Development & Learning-Mount Sinai Health System-Hybrid-Full Time-Days

Job Summary:

The Training and Organizational Development Specialist performs needs assessments; designs curriculum, delivers training, organizational development and coaching interventions; and uses evaluative data to drive programs. In addition, he or she participates in and/or leads large enterprise-wide initiatives and provides direction to staff, consultants and volunteers involved in the initiative.

  • Designs, facilitates and evaluates enterprise-wide or department specific training programs.
  • Designs and facilitates large scale departmental retreats and other customized programs, utilizing an internal consulting process
  • Provides consultation and expertise in strategy development and execution, planning, change management
  • Facilitates communication among employees and management. Guide managers and employees on problem solving, dispute resolution and process/quality improvement
  • Tracks, trends and analyzes key metrics and utilize assessments to drive future program design and strategy.
  • Designs job aids and manuals to meet training outcomes as defined by needs assessment
  • Conducts general and role specific orientations
  • Links training function and activities to strategic goals vision and mission of the organization
  • Identifies and disseminates cutting edge practices in training/professional development/education
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required. Masters preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • Five years minimum of progressively responsible training facilitation experience, and two years of organizational development or internal consulting experience.
  • Experience evaluating training effectiveness
  • Experience with MBTI a plus
