Position Description
Job Title: Advancement Director
FLSA: Non- Exempt
Job Status: Full-Time
Reporting Functions: Reports to Principal
Job Function: Directs fundraising, marketing and advancement programs for St. Anne School. This includes but is not limited to, the annual appeal, annual auction and elementary school bonding programs as well as managing alumni relations and overseeing the school's endowment fund.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create an advancement program that will include the re-branding of St. Anne School. Establish an advertising campaign for promotion of the school.
- Utilize the school website to create an on-line giving program
- Create and maintain a donor database.
- Create and maintain an alumni database to be utilized for annual giving efforts.
- Maintain contact with the Diocese of Allentown Office of Stewardship and Development.
- Create and oversee a Planned Giving program; oversee Grant Writing.
- Oversee the scholarship program for the school.
- Keep abreast of the latest in advancement techniques and utilize the same in growing fundraising opportunities.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications or a related field.
- Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification is a plus.
- Experience in marketing/ development field preferably in a school environment and in a supervisory or Management capacity.
Other Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of development/fundraising concepts and appropriate solicitation techniques.
- Proficiency in word processing, database management, as well as other business and office equipment.
- Ability to interact with diplomacy and tact amid donors and diverse groups.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Must exhibit a high degree of integrity, loyalty, dependability, and have a strong work ethic. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
- Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Must be able to work independently and proficiently.

The employee frequently must meet multiple demands from several people.
Working Conditions: Year-round position; Elementary School office environment. School operation hours are 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; Monday through Frid
