What you will be responsible for

As Software Engineering & Development - VP, you will

• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
• Data modeling: Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Knowledge acquisition; develop and maintain expert domain knowledge, rules, methodologies, ontologies.
• Solution implementation leadership; recommend suitable innovative, technological, and logistical solutions.
• Requirement documentation; agile stories, functional specs, process flow visualizations, data process modeling change control.
• Data analysis; data mapping, definition, quality controls, etc.
• Design, implement and maintain large-scale data pipelines using Python, Databricks
• Provisioning, developing, maintaining and tuning Amazon Oracle RDS
• Test execution support; test case review, defect triage, etc.
• Implementation documentation; SOPs, user guides.

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role

• Minimum of 10+ years with expertise in designing and maintaining large-scale data pipelines
• Strong proficiency in building and maintaining stored procedures, triggers and functions in Oracle DB
• Strong proficiency in Python and Databricks (AWS) in production environment
• Strong understanding of Security framework on-prem and in cloud
• Strong proficiency in using DMS to sync data from RDS to Databricks
• Excellent understanding of Big Data technologies, primarily Spark
• Strong understanding of Data Architecture and modelling concepts
• Highly knowledgeable about data warehousing principles and practices

Education & Preferred Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 12+ years of experience or MS in Computer Science or equivalent with 10+ years of experience

Additional requirements

• Knowledge in State Street internal Datawarehouse ESP
• Certification on AWS, Databricks
• Knowledge in State Street security framework
