Senior Field Services Representative

Job Description

The Senior Field Services Representative plays a key leadership role in supporting the successful delivery, installation, and post-delivery support of Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB). This position is responsible for overseeing field operations, resolving technical issues, and ensuring projects are completed on time and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This role requires strong PEMB erection experience, the ability to lead field teams, and effective coordination with internal departments and external stakeholders. 

This position is responsible for negotiating directly the resolution of issues with customers/principles to resolve perceived issues or errors on things such as erectability of steel structures, shortages, mis-fabrications, or incorrect detailing work. A strong background in PEMB erection experience is preferred. A Field Service Construction Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that PEMB projects are completed successfully, with minimal disruptions, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. Their expertise and problem-solving skills are essential for addressing and preventing field issues effectively.

Responsibilities: 

• Supervise and coordinate field activities across multiple PEMB projects.
• Respond to field issues related to erectability, mis-fabrications, shortages, or incorrect detailing.
• Inspect and assess field issues reported by installation teams or clients.
• Analyze the nature and extent of issues, including structural, design, or material-related concerns.  
• Develop effective solutions to address field issues promptly.  
• Lead communication between field teams, engineering, design, and project management teams.
• Collaborate with engineers, design teams and project management teams to devise engineering solutions when necessary.  
• Ensure that issue resolutions align with project specifications and safety standards.
• Provide on-site support to installation crews and field personnel.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues in real-time, offering technical guidance and expertise. 
• Implement quality control measures to prevent recurring issues.
• Review and verify the quality of field work, ensuring compliance with design and safety standards.  
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to minimize future issues.
• Maintain detailed records of field issues, including photographs, descriptions, and corrective actions taken.
