Job Summary
• This role is responsible for shaping organization-wide design and development frameworks for intricate products, systems, software, and technology, focused around cost optimization and value creation. The role involves assessing emerging technologies, end to end value chain, fostering relationships with outsourced partners, category, and ensuring implementation of corrective actions if any. The role leverages domain expertise to guide executive decisions, lead cross-functional teams, and contribute to innovative solutions that impact business outcomes.
Responsibilities
• Develops organization-wide architectures and methodologies for design and development of complex products, platforms, systems, software, and technology across multiple engineering disciplines and platforms.
• Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value.
• Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards.
• Creates plans and performs integration of suggestions, updates, and innovations into overall architecture.
• Tracks and verify appropriate corrective actions have been implemented, documented and align with source event.
• Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.
• Generates consensus within the team, steer technical decisions, while providing inputs to strategy and functional policy.
• Assists the engineering manager in defining engineering staff priorities, work scope and assignments.
• Contributes innovative ideas and leads large cross-functional teams, exercising independent judgment to solve unique and complex problems impacting the business.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members to set an example of engineering design innovation and excellence, thus ensuring the realization of operational and strategic plans.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in engineering design, engineering design tools and software packages, or a related field.
• May have business or supply chain background if sufficient work experience around technology complements it.

The pay range for this role is $130,350 to $200,750 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
