Senior Environmental Health and Safety Technician

Summary:

This role is responsible for assisting Environmental Health and Safety with permit compliance, data acquisition, field sampling and reporting for waste programs, with additional duties in water and air programs as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Design processes and gap identification to identify improvement opportunities
• Work with other business and process leaders to align strategies and priorities in developing and improving Environmental Health and Safety process improvements
• Report on progress of process improvement projects
• Oversee adequate management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste storages areas
• Delegate waste handling in operations areas
• Collaborate with environmental engineers on various programs as needed
• Responsible for recordkeeping, data collection, implementation of new processes
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of education
• 2+ years of environmental and/or safety experience
