Job Overview:
The Corporate Services Manager is responsible for the successful planning and execution of a variety of events, from corporate meetings and annual award dinners to member functions. Incumbent will manage 40+ employee events annually. Incumbent will also foster a positive and rewarding culture through coordination of employee engagement initiatives, as well as other corporate administration programs. This role requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Incumbent will work closely with internal clients to understand their vision and bring their events to life. The overall objective is to ensure that our organization and employees have what they need to operate effectively, are highly engaged, and serve our members in an outstanding place to work.
Responsibilities:
- Create strategy, content, and budgets for corporate engagement and recognition events. Ensure events meet their objectives with a high level of detail.
- Apply a broad knowledge of event strategy to ensure a successful attendee experience. Manage all logistics and venue and vendor relationships and collaborate across Citadel departments on various events and projects.
- Plan and manage the annual, retail sales incentive trip including budget, destination research and selection, air travel and transportation, lodging, group event logistics, communications, and complete trip agenda.
- Manage venues, catering, and logistics for corporate meetings.
- Create and manage all event related communications including pre-event logistics emails, surveys, and recaps.
- Maintain employee event listings and signup sheets on the internal intranet calendar.
- Manage corporate travel vendors as needed.
- Negotiate contracts and oversee vendor relationships.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives. This may involve, but not be limited to, partnering with a third party to administer an engagement survey and any other surveys as deemed necessary. Compile and analyze data to make recommendations for growth and operational enhancements.
- Support the coordination of recognition programs, and communication efforts.
- Manage corporate apparel offerings, select merchandise, and employee gifting.
- Initiate, develop, and make decisions regarding office administration practices and procedures. Analyze and improve administrative operating practices and procedures with a view toward efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintains company organization charts.
- Coordinates, reviews, compiles, and submits for approval all Employee Handbook policy updates.
- Perform other job-related duties and participate on project teams as assigned or directed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5 or more years of experience managing corporate events, recognition, and/or volunteer programs.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience managing corporate administration programs.
- Experience negotiating contracts and overseeing vendors.
- Experience developing, planning, and managing projects.
- Experience developing budgets, negotiating, and managing expenses.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
