Faculty Member-Family Medicine Residency

General Summary

Assists with the administration and direction of the Family Practice Residency Program. Provides clinical and administrative services involving primary medical care to patients in a family practice setting.

WellSpan is actively seeking a full-time, board-certified Family Physician to join the core faculty at our unopposed residency program in Lebanon, PA - 45 miles from Harrisburg and 90 minutes from Philadelphia.

Position Highlights:

• Join a large, collegial team of Faculty members supervising 21 residents
• Will work a week of inpatient coverage every 4-6 weeks, with Nocturnist assistance
• Maintain own patient panel and precept residents in outpatient setting 
• Team atmosphere focused on academics and scholarly activity
• Experience in full scope FM supervising residents a plus - includes prenatal care, no OB
• Position offers lifestyle flexibility, professional development and leadership support
• WellSpan is reimagining healthcare and now utilizes DAX – Dragon Ambient eXperience, an artificial intelligence scribe that ambiently listens to the patient visit and generates a clinical note in the EPIC electronic health record.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

• Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
• Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

• Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice, or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice, or Board eligible. Upon Hire Required or
• Completion of a Family Practice residency. Upon Hire Required and
• Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required
