Position Overview:The Financial Reporting, Senior Fund Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, coordination, and approval of quarterly and annual reporting and ad hoc investor requests on a regular basis for the Private Fund. This is a hybrid role, with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays required in-office. Key Responsibilities:Fund Reporting
- Generate accurate and timely financial statements for real estate funds, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and statements of changes in equity, adhering to GAAP or other relevant accounting standards.
- Prepare and coordinate the quarterly fund reporting package, including flash report, quarterly fund report, and investor NAV statements. Design tables and charts for performance metrics, portfolio stratification, and debt reporting schedules.
- Participate in technology and process improvement initiatives focusing on Yardi and Workiva.
- Explore opportunities to improve, automate, and streamline strategic processes across fund reporting functions and processes.
- Prepare reports to investors, management, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with audit support and requests for annual audited fund financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly 10-Qs/annual 10-K SEC filings, and other materials for the audit committee and board members.
- Assist in the review and/or preparation of investor presentations and materials.
- Review and validate with the monthly Yardi consolidation process for the Fund.
- 5+ years of experience in industry or public accounting, preferably with REIT or real estate industry experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or working toward a CPA license.
- BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong financial acumen; facile with all of the company’s key financial statements. Must have a clear and thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC, and SOX regulations.
- Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to execute in ambiguous situations and take the lead without explicit instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet reporting deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain accounting concepts to non-accounting leaders
- Ability to adapt to ever-changing requirements and creatively solve problems effectively and efficiently with a high degree of accuracy.
- Experience with private fund reporting
- Experience with Yardi software and Workiva
