About the Job
The Director of Security will report to the Vice President, Security & Compliance, and will be responsible for overseeing the Security Operations and Information Security Teams at Keeper Security. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of information security principles, incident response, security awareness training, threat-hunting and pen-testing.
Responsibilities
- Implement security technologies and tools to protect systems, people, and information assets
- Manage the security operations team responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents
- Develop and maintain incident response and lead the incident response team in the event of a security incident
- Coordinate with legal, HR, IT Support, DevOps, and other relevant departments during the resolution of a security event
- Assess and manage security risks associated with third-party vendors and partners
- Ensure third vendors and partners meet appropriate security requirements
- Oversee competitive technology procurements, vendor negotiations, and vendor partnerships
- Work collaboratively across HR, engineering and other key departments to implement policies, procedures and supporting employee training
- Hire, manage and support the professional development of information security and security operations team members
- Establish effective procedures for monitoring and reporting all security incidents and security-related matters
- Perform all necessary system and process audits to ensure adherence to security policies and security controls
- Communicate frequently and thoroughly regarding current technology projects and issues
- Partner with cross-functional leaders on the completion of projects
- Recommends security solutions to assist with the assessment and improvement of security infrastructure as well as demonstrate a strong understanding of the IT security landscape, including emerging risks and security solutions
- Be an integral part of helping the Compliance team pass regular security and compliance audits, including SOC2, ISO27001, and FedRAMP Assessments
- Collaborate with Compliance teams to perform internal compliance audits and implement security controls to meet regulatory requirements
- Develops training and awareness efforts for employees, contractors, and visitors to prevent or mitigate security incidents
- Develops metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of all security programs and security team members
Requirements
- Extensive Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in information security roles, demonstrating a deep understanding of security principles, strategies, and best practices
- People Management: A track record of at least 5 years in people management, including a successful history of hiring, mentoring, and leading security operations analysts and information security professionals
- Educational Background: A degree in Information Technology, Security Engineering, or a relevant technology field, providing a solid academic foundation for the role
- Certifications: One or more recognized professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CISA, highlighting your expertise in the field
