Summary:

The VP Accounting Systems Program Lead serves as the functional expert to NFP’s Financial Systems team.  The role will be a liaison between Accounting / Finance departments and IT in leading implementation of complex ERP systems.  This person will also assist in the execution of the product roadmap through activities like requirements definition, testing, release management and product feature documentation/training.

Responsibilities:

• Document project requirements, assist in creating process and technology solutions, create User Stories, facilitate UAT, and offer issue remediation
• Operate between the business and technology to ensure all parties are satisfied with the outcome
• Assist with maturing Agile Scrum environment across all platforms
• Facilitate backlog grooming sessions and scrum meetings

Essential Responsibilities:

• Subject matter expert to clarify developer inquiries during the development phase and provide on-going expertise to the business stakeholder
• Influences business process improvements / product roadmap
• Maintain and update project plans
• Ensure testing accuracy by working closely alongside QA
• Perform Analytical assessments: perform qualitative analysis on data, identify system issues or inadequacies & solutions that overcome them – putting processes in place when they do not currently exist (ie system control points, reconciliations etc.)
• Document a system playbook that includes general system functionality, configuration & closing processes
• Facilitate discussions to elicit functional and technical requirements from stakeholders
• Engage with business users at different levels to understand business needs, analyze, document their requirements
• Work with developers to supplement requirement definition
• Create release notes in coordination with the development team
• Assists engineers in debugging / troubleshooting issues involving data or the accuracy of data, in day-to-day work, identifying UAT scenarios and production support scenarios
• Researches external systems as needed to reverse engineer or understand their function through data extraction and validation
