Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience GS-09 : One year of specialized experience which includes: 1,) Executing inventory control procedures (such as receiving, storing, issuing, and physical counting); 2.) Monitoring contractor or vendor performance during the purchasing process ensuring adequate supplies or services are obtained, and 3.) Applying established supply regulations and standard operating procedures to identify and resolve routine transaction errors or inventory discrepancies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower level/grade position in the federal service (GS-07). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). OR Specialized Experience GS -11 : One year of specialized experience which includes: 1.) Managing comprehensive inventory operations across multiple warehouse facilities; 2.) Enforces contractor compliance with supply and logistical regulations; and 3.) Independently interpreting policies to resolve non-standard supply transaction discrepancies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower level/grade position in the federal service (GS-09). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
