We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an Accounting & Office Manager to help support our Flooring Products business. Did you know Leggett & Platt Inc. is the largest manufacturer of carpet cushion and hard surface underlayment in the United States? Our Flooring businesses manufacture and distribute foam-, rubber-, and fiber-based flooring underlayment for residential and commercial use. Our flooring underlayment products provide support, cushioning, and noise reduction under virtually any finished flooring material in your home or business. So, what will you be doing as an Accounting & Office Manager?
- Ensure administrative activities comply with company and branch policies and procedures
- Approve accruals and maintain general ledger
- Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Oversee inventory and compile worksheets
- Perform Executive Assistant tasks as needed
- Process AP invoices including PO matching, approvals, coding
- Generate AP payment runs and issue vendor payments
- Complete AP reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Manage AR including invoicing, payments, collections
- Generate AR aging reports and follow up on past due accounts
- Assist with monthly financial close activities related to payables/receivables
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Excellent written/oral communication skills
- Organizational skills and detail orientation
- Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of Access to build and maintain databases
Things we consider a plus
- 5+ years general office experience, 2+ years in management/supervisory role
- 5+ years of experience maintaining and reviewing general ledgers
- Knowledge of full AP and AR cycles and best practices
- Efficient high-volume invoice and payment processing
- Reconciliation and account management experience
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills
