A Day in the Life

We are looking for an enthusiastic and empathetic supervisor to lead our team transformation into a powerhouse of data-driven performance. 

As a Sr Manufacturing Supervisor in our Manufacturing department in Kerkrade, your main responsibility is managing people and transforming our team towards a High-Performance Culture. 

You will excel in this environment, and you will continually raise the bar while demonstrating state-of-the-art performance, even in challenging situations.
 

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

80% of the role includes People Management activities and responsibilities 
•    Provide leadership through motivating cross functional team to ensure effective delivery of departmental/ Site goals  
•    Responsible for supervising your production team composed of approximately 50 direct reports with team leads, managing individual and team performance, developing talent, engagement and inclusion  
•    Communicating business and operational developments, planning, prioritizing, and/or managing responsibilities of direct reports  
•    Responsible for ensuring team is compliant with policies and procedures  
•    Define performance goals and targets, conduct performance reviews and manage processes to guide and drive performance management, staff development towards department objectives  
•    Prioritize production schedules based on team availability, equipment efficiency and material supply  
•    Participate in and lead daily Tier management meetings 
•    Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in the production area to achieve production goals and objectives 

20% of the role includes Operational Excellence activities 
•    Leading your team on continuous improvement projects using lean and six sigma tools to improve overall business efficiency  
•    Develop problem solving skills of team through A3 methodology  
•    Foster a culture of innovation through identifying innovative solutions to process problems and actively encouraging team members to share new ideas and fresh approaches  
•    Identify growth opportunities, through lean transformation and continuous development in conjunction with Operational excellence team on site  

Required knowledge and experience
•    Bachelor's degree 
•    5-7 years of work experience in similar positions 
•    Understands approaches to managing people such as defining performance goals and targets, conducting performance reviews, talent development, delivering department goals, and managing your team's  
•    Strong proficiency in Dutch and English 
•    Ability to work shifts (approximate hours): 
    -Monday to Friday: 5:45 AM to 2:15 PM 
    -Monday to Friday: 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM 
•    Good documentation, reporting, and presentation skills 
•    Proficiency in IT (knowledge of SAP and MES systems is an advantage)
