Your Role:
As a Histology Lab Manufacturing Technician at the Rocklin, CA MilliporeSigma site, your activities will support product testing and manufacturing needs to help achieve business objectives. You will be responsible for performing work according to applicable standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Performs laboratory activities in a timely manner to meet manufacturing and product delivery deadlines
- Performs work in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements applicable (FDA, ISO 13485, etc.)
- Performs equipment troubleshooting activities
- Uses local ERP systems and/or approved documents to accurately document work
- Performs required laboratory equipment maintenance and laboratory cleaning
- Assists with revisions to documentation as assigned
- Performs laboratory inventory maintenance
- Communicates non-conformances to appropriate personnel and participates in the investigation process as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or other life science discipline and 2+ years of Histology Lab experience
OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or other life science discipline
- 1+ years of experience with general laboratory equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a FDA regulated biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment
- Experience using a microtome
- Experience performing IHC methods
- Experience using an ERP system
- Self-motivated and action-oriented
- Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Effective communicator intra- and inter-departmentally, both in verbal and written form
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Good time management and multitasking skills
- Proven computer skills (Word, Excel, Mango, etc.)
- Good fine motor skills
