Production Technician

Position Summary:

Operates process & equipment efficiently. Able to consistently apply the necessary standards to keep the process under control. Understands the Operation and equipment, what it does/how it works & can carry out CIL tasks and perform simple maintenance tasks. Lead small change-overs Order and prepare raw materials and install them on the machine according to Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain an adequate communication with previous and next shift as well with other persons involved in running the machine Maintain an optimal housekeeping situation. Secure the quality level of the products by regular checking against the product specification rejecting and blocking if necessary. Complete all required documentation and data files during production.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work within Essity safety standards with a responsibility for others.
• Operates process & equipment efficiently.
• Is accountable for the performance of his/her equipment.
• Able to consistently apply the necessary standards to keep the process under control.
• Develops standards (CL, CIL, PM, OPL, WPS, etc.) through observation to gain deep understanding of the equipment.
• Troubleshoots stops in a structured way using the available tools: POS, BDE, etc.
• Understands the Operation and equipment, what it does/how it works & can carry out CIL (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate) tasks and perform simple maintenance tasks.
• Lead changeovers
• Order and prepare raw materials and install them on the machine according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain an adequate communication with previous and next shift as well with other persons involved in running the machine.
• Maintain optimal housekeeping. 
• Secure the quality level of the products by regularly checking against the product specification, rejecting and blocking if necessary.
• Complete all required documentation and data files during production.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High School or GED required

Physical Demands May Include:

Standing: (Constant) Production must be able to stand to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as loading raw materials, loading glue into tanks, maintaining ink in machine, loading boxes and bags for product, transporting materials utilizing carts, and performing cleaning duties.
Walking: (Constant) Production must be able to walk to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as loading raw materials, loading glue into tanks, maintaining ink in machine, loading boxes and bags for product, transporting materials utilizing carts, and performing cleaning duties.
Lifting: (Frequent) Production must be able to load raw materials utilizing manipulator. Occasionally other raw materials such as poly, release paper, foam, and glue weighing up to 45 pounds are loaded from varying heights 12-56 inches to machine height at 56 inches.
Carrying: (Frequent) Production must be able to complete front and or side carry of various raw materials including but not limited to poly, ink and release paper weighing up to 45 pounds distances up to 20 feet.
Pushing/Pulling: (Frequent) Production must be able to generate push and pull forces of  50 pounds to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as initial force required to roll raw materials into position, roll carts and pallet jacks filled with various raw materials.
