About Team:
Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com, through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.

What you'll do:

• Architect Scalable Big Data Platforms
  Design and evolve data architectures including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time pipelines (Lambda/Kappa) to support large-scale, business-critical analytics and AI use cases.
• Promote Data and Engineering Excellence
  Define and implement engineering KPIs for data systems, focusing on data quality, pipeline reliability, governance, and operational efficiency across ingestion, transformation, and delivery layers.
• Lead Modernization of Data Ecosystems
  Drive the transformation of legacy data systems into modern, agentic, cloud-native platforms using scalable services and best practices in event-driven architecture, microservices, and container orchestration.
• Enable Cross-Functional Data Collaboration
  Partner with product, analytics, and business teams to define and deliver trusted data products aligning data architecture with business priorities through collaborative design and roadmap planning.
• Champion Governance and Reusability
  Build reusable patterns for data access, lineage, and stewardship ensuring scalable governance, compliance, and self-service capabilities across the data ecosystem.
